Freudian-Slip

“We're excited to work with our new partner to crush their business… I mean, to grow both of our businesses together.”

What just happened?

This is called a Freudian-Slip. It's when we have hidden truths that we generally don't want to share with the public, but sometimes, in a moment of negligence, it slips out.

People often have some non-reality in their head they either consciously or unconsciously believe. Out of compassion, malice, social pressure, or shame, we typically keep our inner desires or feelings hidden.

But sometimes the truth slips from our lips.

A Freudian-Slip. Look out for it.

Especially, when they correct themselves quickly afterwards with the opposite statement.
